The biggest myth about CrossFit is that you need to get fit before joining. You do not. A good coach scales the workout to the body and experience you bring on day one.
Week one: learn before you load
Your first sessions should feel educational. You will practise the squat, hinge, press and basic conditioning movements with light resistance. The goal is not to finish first; it is to move well enough to train again tomorrow.
Tell your coach about old injuries, long breaks and anything that feels unfamiliar. Clear information helps us scale intelligently.
Weeks two and three: build rhythm
Once the movements feel familiar, consistency matters more than intensity. Three well-spaced sessions beat six exhausting sessions followed by a week away.
Expect normal muscle soreness, but sharp pain is never a badge of honour. Sleep, hydration and a short walk on rest days will do more for recovery than chasing another hard workout.
Week four: measure the right things
Do not judge progress only by the weighing scale. Better technique, an extra round, steadier breathing and the confidence to try a new movement are real wins.
At Bheema's, every workout can be adjusted. Beginners and experienced athletes can train side by side while working at an appropriate level.
